BROOKLYN - This week's milder weather has been replaced by frigid cold gusts of wind.

The strong wind is whipping things around in the borough, including street signs and tree branches.

The city's Department of Buildings says all construction sites and buildings should be secure during the high winds.

Temperatures will get slightly higher over the weekend, but St. Patrick's Day on Monday will be cold again.
