BROOKLYN - Frigid temperatures made for slippery conditions Wednesday evening, while crews continued to clean up after the snowstorm.

The Department of Sanitation had about 2,300 workers plowing and salting the roads.

While most of the express trains were running on schedule, many buses experienced some delays.

The freezing temperatures also created slippery sidewalks for anyone walking outside.

Doctors are urging residents to protect themselves against frostbite by wearing layers and protecting their skin.
