Fulton Mall to close for reconstruction

BROOKLYN - Several bus lines will be rerouted come Monday in the area of Adams and Smith streets as the Fulton Mall reconstruction project gets under way.

Today, however, no signs were posted alerting riders about the coming changes. Even some bus drivers were unaware that their routes will be altered Monday.

The B25, B38 and B52 buses will be rerouted from Fulton Street to Livingston Street for two weeks. The closure of Fulton Street will also affect the B61 and B65 bus hub on Smith Street, which will be moved to Schermerhorn and Livingston streets.

Drivers are also being advised that traffic on Smith Street will be reduced to two lanes Monday.
