BUSHWICK - Residents of Bushwick say a local hospital is making them sick.

Neighbors living near Wyckoff Heights Medical Center say that fumes rising from generators are polluting the air.

The medical center is in the process of renovating its broken air conditioning system. According to hospital officials, the generators were installed temporarily in order to maintain temperatures in operating and patient rooms, but will be removed by the end of the summer.

Meanwhile, the Department of Environmental Protection has gotten involved and issued violations for air contaminants and excessive noise.
