MAPLETON - A funeral was held today for Sister Nora, a Brooklyn teacher who was killed on Monday in a car accident in Edison, N.J.

Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral for Sister Nora Ashe Friday at Saint Athanasius Church. Loved ones say she loved to travel, was full of energy and was always smiling.

She taught at Saint Joseph High School in Downtown Brooklyn. Colleagues and students described her as a master educator and passionate learner, who always went out of her way to help others.

She was less than a month from celebrating her 66th birthday.

Police say the investigation into the car crash is ongoing. So far, no charges have been filed.
