FLATLANDS - Heaps of trash are still piled up on sidewalks in some Brooklyn neighborhoods more than a week after the blizzard.

Neighbors in Flatlands say the Department of Sanitation last collected garbage from Pearson Street two weeks ago, leaving a rancid smell in the air.

The trash bags have gotten so high in some places, residents are unable to get their cars out of their driveways. People with strollers have also been forced to move into the street due to clogged sidewalks.

Temperatures are continuing to fall, and meteorologists are predicting more snow for this weekend.
