BROOKLYN - Gas prices are on the rise again.

The price for a gallon of regular hit $4.09 in Brooklyn at a Getty station in Gowanus.

Average national prices jumped 19 cents per gallon in the past three weeks. Analysts say the unrest in the Middle East has caused a surge in prices as the rebellion in Libya halted daily exports of crude oil.

The price is still lower than the city's record highest gas which hit $4.41 in 2008.
