BROOKLYN - Police executing a search warrant in Bensonhurst not only found several weapons and drugs, but also uncovered an alligator.

According to authorities, the unexpected house guest was being kept at 2246 West 6th St. by 32-year-old Michael Volpe and 25-year-old Alisa Volpe.

Officials say contraband in the home included brass knuckles, two loaded handguns, a shot gun, ammunition, marijuana and prescription drugs.

The Volpes are facing a list of charges, including drug and weapons possession, and harboring a prohibitive animal.
