BROOKLYN - A new music competition in Brooklyn is showcasing local and international talent.

The George Gershwin Music Competition was started by Brooklyn-based music school Talent Under One Roof. The school trains artists of all levels to sing, dance and play instruments.

Artists auditioned in four categories: Piano, vocals, strings and instruments. They will compete in the final rounds Dec. 12-15. The grand prize winner will be announced on Dec. 15 and will receive $5,000.
