GERRITSEN BEACH - Conditions in Gerritsen Beach went from bad to horrendous in minutes.

Celeste Court, a narrow, thin street, was already filled with 2-3 feet of water, and none of the houses had power.

Con Edison reports that there more than 19,000 people without power in the borough. Con Edison estimates that 28,000 meters throughout the borough will be affected.
