BROOKLYN - Hundreds of needy New Yorkers will have a merrier Christmas, thanks to the nonprofit group, God's Love We Deliver.

The organization and more than 900 volunteers prepared and delivered nutritious meals and gifts today to residents suffering from AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

The more than 3,200 meals were delivered in bags hand-decorated by local school children.

The organization says demand for its services has been up more than 60 percent over the last five years.
