BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents who were out trying to brave the blizzard not only found horrible driving conditions, but had difficultly getting around on foot as well.

News 12 meteorologists say winds gusted up to early 60 mph in some areas, whipping snow into the faces of pedestrians.

Local residents say the conditions have become so treacherous that walking from their cars to the entrances of stores has proven to be a nightmare.
