BROOKLYN - A cafe has opened inside the Brooklyn Public Library's main branch in Grand Army Plaza, giving patrons the opportunity to check out books and food in the same place.

Four & Twenty Blackbirds, a Gowanus pie shop, is currently serving coffee and pastries inside the library. By March 14, the cafe will be up and running, serving sandwiches, salads, soup and more. Emily Elsen, the shop's owner, says it's a great way to bring their product to a wider audience.

Patrons will also be able to eventually buy entire pies to take home, Elsen says.
