BROOKLYN - The case against the Brooklyn assistant district attorney accused of assault will go before a grand jury.

Michael Jaccarino is accused of assaulting EMT Teresa Soler in the early hours of Nov. 10. Soler says she was called to the Brooklyn Bridge near the Manhattan side for reports of an intoxicated man walking on the roadway.

Jaccarino was put in the ambulance to be taken to a hospital when he allegedly attacked Soler, punching her in the face and choking her.

Jaccarino has been suspended from the district attorney's office. Soler has since returned to work but states she still deals with the psychological trauma of the incident. The next court date is scheduled for March 18.
