BROOKLYN - Patrons and vendors celebrated the grand opening of the [re] New Lots Market and Artist Incubator Thursday in East New York.

The New York City Development Corporation and Arts East New York created the market to make use of a city-owned space that had been empty. Both organizations are optimistic the investment will pay off for the community.

The event featured art, food, home décor items and live performances.

The popup market is located at 175 New Lots Ave.
