Grandmother concerned for children after mother's death

BROWNSVILLE - Days after a mother of 12 was buried, her family continues to mourn her death.

Of the 12 children Zurana Horton left behind, five now live with their grandmother. Denise Peace says the children haven't been to school since their mother's murder.

"They cry at night, they toss and turn - I'm not getting any sleep. Our whole lives have been destroyed and we have to start all over again," Peace says.

Peace says Horton is the third of her four children to die from gun violence. 3 brothers arrested in fatal shooting of Brownsville momParents, lawmakers rally after P.S. 298 shootingMother killed, 2 others injured in shooting outside P.S. 298
