BROOKLYN - Organizers of the Great GoogaMooga festival say they are ready to improve on last year’s mishaps.

The festival got off to a rough start last year when vendors quickly ran out of food and Prospect Park grounds were damaged by the 30,000 people who attended each day of the weekend event.

Organizers say they have been working with restaurant experts to ratchet up food service. There is expected to be more places to buy food, more servers for each vendor and more food and drink to go around.

The Great Googamooga festival kicks off on Friday, May 17 with music from Yeah Yeah Yeahs. For a full schedule of festival events and food vendors, visit http://brooklyn.googamooga.com.
