Green grows for Myrtle Avenue businesses

FORT GREENE - Residents and business owners say Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene is thriving more than ever with new shops opening up over the past year.

Business owners say this time last year, the Fort Greene side of Myrtle Avenue was not as booming as it is today. They say its recent success may be a sign that the economy is picking up.

Residents say they are thrilled to see more foot traffic in the area.  They say they are really pleased to see their community attract new businesses while still maintaining a friendly neighborhood vibe.
