BROOKLYN - Developer Greenland Forest City Partners has announced that COOKFOX will be the architects to design the newest buildings near the Barclays Center.

Thomas Balsley, a New York City landscape architect, has also been selected to design an 8-acre open green space that will be called Pacific Park.

The design for the two buildings at 550 Vanderbilt Ave. and 535 Carlton Ave. will include affordable housing that surrounds the new green space.

The park will be built up in phases, while construction on the residential buildings is expected to begin this December.
