GREENPOINT - Greenpoint residents are complaining that abandoned tractor-trailers are taking over their neighborhood.

Residents say one particular unmarked tractor-trailer on West Street has no license plates and hasn't moved in almost three months. They say they worry that hazardous materials may be inside but have gotten no response from the city.

They say other large trailers often park in the neighborhood for days or even weeks.

The Department of Sanitation confirms that complaints have been filed with police. However, the NYPD has yet to comment on the issue.
