BROOKLYN - A community group called for an investigation Monday into online death threats against Councilman Charles Barron.

The group 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care said the comments made on the Web site "NYPD Rants" are unacceptable. The group said police need to look into the matter immediately and find out who wrote the messages.

One of the comments on the message board read: "Someone needs to put a bullet in that guy's head and be done with it."

Police said they have checked out the Web site. They said they do not believe there is any way to find out who wrote the comment on the message board.
