BROOKLYN - Teenagers from Bedford-Stuyvesant hosted a community based youth music event Saturday.

The event was sponsored by Avenue Music Group and took place near 1285 Fulton St.

Organizers say the event gives teens a chance to listen to music that spreads positivity and connect with young community leaders.

They say also hope to denounce violence in the community.
