Gunman opens fire outside Crown Heights skating rink

CROWN HEIGHTS - A party turned violent in Crown Heights Wednesday when police say a gunman opened fire outside a well-known skating rink. According to police, two men and two women in their 20s were shot as they were leaving the Empire Roller Skating Rink shortly before 1 a.m. Two of the victims were hit in the leg, one in the foot and one person was shot in the abdomen. They were taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. Community board officials say they tried to have the rink's cabaret license revoked several years ago, but failed. Now they are asking police to step up patrols in the area. Police are still searching for the gunman.
