BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents got a jump start today on New Year's resolutions to get fit in 2013.

The New York Sports Club in Park Slope was packed with new visitors trying to undo some of the damage done during holiday dinners.

Local trainers say they always see a spike in new memberships at the beginning of the year and recommend easing into a workout schedule.
