BROOKLYN - Supplies designated for Haiti are finally being sent to the ailing nation from the Brownsville Recreation Center.

Former basketball star Gregory Jackson and other organizations collected supplies for victims of the Haiti earthquake. However, the aid did not get to Haiti because the group couldn?t find a way to transport supplies.

Students loaded trucks Monday after supplies were stuck in the center for weeks. Many said they were glad the supplies will finally be used.
