BROOKLYN - Health concerns forced a day care on Avenue Y to be shut down.

The New York City Health Department suspended Royal Crown Day care Center's permit on June 15.

A spokesperson for the health department says inspections found that the 14 staff members lacked required clearances, four teachers lacked required qualifications and the program did not employ an on-site educational director.

Royal Crown touts itself as a luxury day care center and opened last year at 1018 Avenue Y.
