BROOKLYN - The city's Health Department says more people are getting sick this winter. 

According to health officials, doctors are seeing more patients coming in with a cold, stomach bug and the flu citywide. 

Doctors are encouraging everyone to do simple things to help stop the spread of germs, such as washing your hands often and covering your mouth when you sneeze or cough. 

Experts are also reminding people that it's not too late to get the flu shot.
