BROOKLYN - With the holiday season kicking off this week, experts are reminding people that there is a healthy way to enjoy a feast.

Registered Dietitian Gloria Bent recommends avoiding the skin of the turkey this Thanksgiving, and to use fresh and natural ingredients when cooking.

She says that the key to getting through the holidays is to eat in moderation with controlled portions.

Dietitians also remind everyone not to starve yourself in preparation for a big meal.
