Heat, humidity linger in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN - Hot and humid weather iscreating potentially dangerous conditions for the sick, elderly andvery young.

City officials say cooling centers in the city will be open throughout the borough today. Residents are also encouraged to drink plenty of water and use air conditioning.

News 12 Meteorologist Michael Favetta says temperatures are expected to climb past 90 degrees and be a combination of heat and humidity.
