BROOKLYN - More than 24 hours of nonstop wet weather has left some streets in the borough underwater.

Drivers are being told to avoid driving through flooded roadways if possible, and to make sure there are no downed power lines in the standing water.

Commuters are also being warned to expect slick roadways, but they will be drying out as things clear up and warm up throughout the day.

Mother Nature seems to have gotten the rainy weather out of her system for now. The weekend is expected to be dry and sunny with temperatures in the 60s.
