CONEY ISLAND - The temperature hit record-breaking highs in Brooklyn Wednesday, sending many residents outside.

Coney Island was the place to be for many Brooklyn residents. Some laid out on the beach, while others enjoyed the boardwalk and rides.

The official high temperature for Wednesday afternoon was 87 degrees, breaking the last record of 86 degrees in 1991.
