BROOKLYN - In an unusual combination, hip-hop artists and Lincoln Memorial Hospital are teaming up to take down gun violence.

The Guns Down, Life Up! campaign will feature a number of artists, including Greenpoint's own Joell Ortiz, performing at a fundraiser in The Bronx on Friday, which is aimed at spreading awareness about gun violence.

Gospel artists will hit the stage at the Berean Baptist Church in Brooklyn on Saturday for the same cause.
