Historic carousel lands in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN - A carousel that has been around for almost 90 years has made its way to Brooklyn.

Jane's Carousel, which can be seen in DUMBO, was built in 1922. The carousel was brought to Brooklyn by artist Jane Walentas, who restored it to its original condition over 27 years.

"It's mostly original. A lot of the carousels have been picked apart, the horses sold separately. This one is all together and it's been restored beautifully," says Brooklyn resident Robert Glickman.

Brooklyn residents have been flocking to DUMBO, saying they want a glimpse of the historic landmark.
