BROOKLYN - The seventh annual Brooklyn Bridge Swim was held today, giving 400 swimmers the chance to cool off in the East River.

Organized by NYC Swim, the kilometer-long course runs from Brooklyn Bridge Park to East River Park. Swimmers say they like the course because of the city views along the way.

To compete, organizers say swimmers must submit previous swim results to ensure they can swim the entire route.
