The school board says it will close the school June 30 after more than 50 years.

WINDSOR TERRACE - Hundreds of students, parents, teachers and alumni came together Wednesday to protest the decision to close Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School in Windsor Terrace.

The school, which opened more than 50 years ago, is expected to close in June. The school's board of directors voted Sunday night to close the school, citing low enrollment and not enough revenue.

Parents say they were blindsided by the news, with some finding out via text message about the school closing. Others are concerned their children won't be able to enroll in another school for the fall with such short notice.

The group plans to hold another protest on April 28 to demand answers from the school's board of directors.
