CONEY ISLAND - After seven tries, Borough President Marty Markowitz was finally able to break the ceremonial bottle of egg cream, thus signifying that Coney Island was open for the 2011 season.

Many who turned out for the event today said that coming to Coney Island let them feel like a kid again.

While most businesses were able to return, including Ruby's and Cha Cha's which were able to come to an agreement recently, some are notably missing.
