Hunt is on for robber who preys on drunken women

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for a suspect who they say robbed at least two women returning home from parties where they had been drinking.Investigators say surveillance video from an attack that happened on Christmas Day shows the suspect following a 28-year-old woman back to her apartment in Fort Greene. The man can then be seen beating up his victim and getting away with her purse.Police say on New Year's Day, the robber struck again about a block away from the location of the first attack, once again targeting a 28-year-old woman who was beaten and robbed of her purse that contained nearly $200.Investigators believe the same man is behind both of the attacks, and he could be responsible for others. The suspect is being described as a man in his 30s, standing at about 5 feet 10 inches. He was last seen wearing a brown coat and black pants, and in one of the incidents, he was spotted riding a bicycle.
