Hunt is on for subway robber

BROOKLYN - Police released a sketch and photo of a man who is accused of robbing 11 subway commuters across the city, including two in Brooklyn.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build and black hair. Police say he approaches his victims on subway platforms and either threatens them with a knife or pretends to have a firearm.

Investigators say the most recent Brooklyn robbery linked to the suspect occurred at Church Avenue train station. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All the calls will be kept confidential.
