Hunt is on for suspect in subway robberies

Police are searching for a man who they say robbed two 16-year-old girls in separate attacks on a subway platform in Brownsville.  According to investigators,

BROWNSVILLE - Police are searching for a man who they say robbed two 16-year-old girls in separate attacks on a subway platform in Brownsville.  

According to investigators, the first attack happened at the Livonia Avenue station on Aug. 21.  The second attack happened on Sept. 11 at the Saratoga Avenue station just down the block.  They say both incidents occurred while the girls were waiting for the 3 subway line. 

In both cases, police say the man got away with jewelry and cell phones. The suspect also has been linked to three other robberies in Manhattan, according to police.  

Anyone with information on the robber is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477.
