BOROUGH PARK - Police are searching for a suspected child molester who may be responsible for a string of attacks in Borough Park.

They say the suspect, who is described as a white male in his early 20s with spiky black hair, first struck a year ago, when he snatched a 4-year-old girl off the stoop of her house, threw her into his car and molested her.

Following the attack, Assemblyman Dov Hikind said he was determined to prevent another child from being molested.

But, authorities say a nearly identical attack happened in early August involving a 14-year-old girl.

The girl?s mother, Hildy Messinger, says her daughters saw the pedophile return to the quiet Hassidic neighborhood only three days later.

?This guy is taking advantage,? she says. ?These girls are innocent, they don't understand what's going on.?

Hikind is offering a $20,000 reward to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the child molester.

In the meantime, police are trying to determine how many girls fell victim to the pedophile, and to what degree they were assaulted.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text TIPS to 274637.
