Hurricane-hit Saint Lucia to receive supplies from BK

BROOKLYN - Thousands of supplies are heading to hurricane-ravaged Saint Lucia thanks to the efforts of a Brooklyn group and DHL Express.

More than 20,000 bottles of water and 30 barrels of food and clothing are en route to the Caribbean island, which is still reeling from Hurricane Tomas, which ripped through the region last month and killed 14 people.

Brooklyn's Saint Lucia House collaborated on the shipment with DHL, which donated its shipping services.
