BAY RIDGE - I.S. 318?s marching band may have given its last performance today at the King's County Memorial Day parade.

For 20 years, the school has given its students the opportunity to learn music, but due to city budget cuts, this may have been the last year.

Parents say they fear that by cutting the band, their children will be out on the streets instead of in a constructive environment after school lets out.

Students and parents say they hope that the band will be saved, but the future of the band won?t be known until sometime in September.
