BROOKLYN - Many businesses across Brooklyn are participating in 'I Shop Brooklyn,' a new initiative to encourage local shopping.

The new initiative by the borough president works with merchants to provide limited-time discounts for shoppers. The discounts include 50 percent off at Swagga 360 and offers at Cure Beauty Bar.

Merchants say it?s important to support local business and help neighborhoods flourish.
