Injured officer released from BK hospital

BROOKLYN - ? Officer Eric Grimes was discharged from Kings County Hospital Monday, two weeks after part of his leg was pinned during a car accident.

On July 14, the undercover officer was making an arrest when two cars collided and jumped the curb.

Doctors were unable to save Grimes? leg or foot, but he says it won?t stop him from serving the people of New York.

Commissioner Ray Kelly says Grimes will rejoin the NYPD.
