THE BRONX - Dozens of injured passengers were rushed to area hospitals following Sunday morning's Metro-North train derailment in the Bronx.

Four people were killed and more than 60 were injured after a train derailed near the Spuyten Duyvil station. Of those victims, 12 were brought to Saint Barnabas Hospital. Their injuries range from minor to severe.

A 14-year-old boy and a female NYPD officer were among the injured.

Dr. Ernest Patti says many injuries could have been prevented or lessened if the train had seat belts.
