BROOKLYN - More than 40 injured veterans rode from Manhattan to Brooklyn today in the 9th Annual Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride.

Lance Cpl. Mike Goody, who lost his lower left leg in Afghanistan, says that being at the event is a dream come true.

The soldiers were honored for their bravery and dedication at the FDNY headquarters in the Metro-Tech Center.

The ride will continue Friday and Saturday when the veterans will venture to Eastern Long Island.
