Injuries force major stroller recall

BROOKLYN - A hazardous hinge is forcing Graco to recall strollers before more children get hurt.

The faulty hinge that is used to open the canopy has severed the fingers of five children and cut the hands of two other children.

The company is recalling the models manufactured between October 2004 and February 2008, a total of 1.5 million strollers.

This is the second recall for a stroller manufacturer, since 1 million Maclaren strollers were recalled for the same problem last November.
