Intense, four-alarm fire thaws Bushwick frozen foods factory

BUSHWICK - Fire officials are investigating the cause of a four-alarm blaze at a Bushwick frozen foods factory that injured one fireman Wednesday.

Authorities say the fire broke out in the early morning hours at Tovli, Inc. at 158 Cook St. More than 100 firefighters responded as intense flames, heat and smoke poured out of the building. They remained at the scene to extinguish hot spots.

One responder suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover.
