BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents are kicking off the 14th annual Pride Week today by giving thanks.

The five-day celebration, which ends with the annual Pride Parade, will begin with an interfaith service at the Union Temple. A spiritual group composed of many faiths is expected to come together to worship in a service led by the LGBT community.

The service begins at 6 p.m.
