BROOKLYN - After decades of selling fresh breads, cheeses and meats, a popular Bay Ridge specialty market is closing its doors. Cangiano's first opened in 1925 and once had locations around the borough. One by one, the Italian markets all closed, and now its last location is shuttering, too. A Cangiano family member says the business was sold to a new owner back in 2002.The current owner says he couldn't afford to stay open because of the rough economy and because a supermarket recently opened around the corner.
